United Staging and Rigging was incorporated in 1986 in Norwalk, Connecticut. At that time the New York City theatrical market was in need of a local and reliable source for staging, chain motors, and other theatrical equipment. United Staging was founded to fulfill that need. As the Broadway market grew along with their overall client base, they continued to expand the products and services to successfully meet the demands of the industry.
In 1999 they opened a second office in Boston, Massachusetts, to better serve the growing regional client base in Northern New England. This effort was successful from the start. Currently, United Staging enjoys an excellent reputation with the ever-increasing client base in the Boston market.
In 2004, they added a Retail Sales Department offering educational institutions and production companies’ competitive pricing on theatrical, and trade show supplies.
Counterpunch Coffee Company approached me about creating the companies branding. After having a discovery session with Counterpunch we knew we would be a perfect fit for each other. Our philosophy and approach seemed to align perfectly with what they were looking to accomplish with their branding. Counterpunch needed to have a bold look with some disruptive color schemes that would stand out in a feed.
